Funerals and Memorials - To Celebrate the Life of a Loved One
How wonderful to honour and celebrate the life of a loved one by releasing a beautiful white dove. This is said to symbolize the departing spirit, watching it fly off to find peace, serenity and as many believe – a new beginning. Some people find meaning in releasing 3 white doves in recognition of the holy trinity, whilst others find comfort in releasing a dove from the hands of close family members; eg. children or grandchildren.

One or all the doves could be on display outside the church/chapel, or at the graveside prior to the release (with prior permission of course). You can choose to liberate the bird(s) by hand or straight from their baskets. We can liaise with your funeral director on your behalf if you wish, or we can release the birds for you. You may wish to say a few words at the time of release, ask the official conducting the ceremony to incorporate an appropriate extract from the bible that makes reference to the Dove; alternatively we can provide an appropriate short verse or poem for you.

We will be happy to provide a Dove Release service tailored to your wishes; however the suggestions below are our most popular requests.

Free Spirit...
1 single White Dove to be released at an appropriate time in recognition of the departing spirit. The bird could be on display prior to release, or housed in an enclosed basket until released. You can chose to release the bird by hand, or simply open the basket and watch as the Dove returns home.

Holy Trinity...
3 White Doves are released from a basket in recognition of The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost.
Some Families wish to release a single White Dove followed by The Holy Trinity.

Escort Home...
You may wish to have family members or friends release doves following the departed spirit, symbolizing the support of the family in escorting the departed spirit home.
We can supply up to 100 birds upon request.

It is appreciated that short notice will be inevitable in these circumstances; we will do our utmost to accommodate your request with 24 hours notice. Our charges for attending a funeral is 20% less in comparison to our normal rate. Extra discounts apply for families who have lost a person under the age of 17.

Thank you for providing us with your doves at my Nan’s funeral. This touched the hearts of everyone who came to say goodbye to my Nan, and we wanted to say thank you – it really meant so much to the family”

"Your company provided an outstanding service and gave us so much comfort when we needed it most. The doves were beautiful and the baskets decorated so pretty. The poem you read was really touching and meant everything to us. Many people asked about the company and we have recommended them to use you. You are both wonderful people and created a memory we will not forget. God Bless you both. Your words really helped us. You were both amazing and you could never know how much the doves meant to us. Hopefully we will meet you again and use your sevices in happier times." Best wishes, Lisamarie, Evelyn, Susan and Jackie Ayres (Cardiff) Jan 2008

Just wanted to let you know that you provided a service that did us proud at our sons memorial. He would have loved the birds, they were beautiful and you are a star!

Mrs J Tilley Porthcawl.

Thank you both for the Doves. It was very moving;  On releasing the Dove, Danielle felt something she could not explain and it really helped her. Everyone was moved by the experience and Chris would have been very pleased - Thank you
