Megan's Was founded in 2009 after having a visit from a lovely English lady who was served a Welsh Tea. She thought the cakes were delicious and suggested we sell them. After approaching my Mother In Law (Megan, who I called Mam) for permission to use her name and recipe, we got to work on spreading the word. Megan lived in Maerdy, a small but big hearted town in the Rhondda, until March 2011, when she sadly passed away at the age of 91. I moved in to her home as a young teenager and always looked forward to her baking. She taught me how to bake, and we dedicate this little business to her memory, with much, much love.
