White Doves for A Funeral

Lovey Dovey Uk are the preferred supplier of many independent funeral directors, and the chosen supplier for The Cooperative Funeral Care throughout Cardiff, The Valleys and Newport

Honour and celebrate the life of a loved one by releasing a beautiful White Dove.

We can now supply free of charge an edited video of the service if required.

This is said to symbolise the departing spirit, watching it fly off to find peace, serenity and as many believe – a new beginning. You can choose to liberate the Dove(s) by hand or straight from their baskets....don't worry, we are right by your side to help you release the doves and ensure a beautiful farewell for your loved one! We can liaise with your funeral director on your behalf if you wish, or are happy to arrange the service with yourself or a nominated person of your choice. You can hold the dove(s) to release, they can be released from a basket or we can release them for you.  We can provide an appropriate short verse or poem for you, that we are happy to read on your behalf. We will write this especially for you to reflect the life of the person you have lost. We never copy poems from the internet, we believe your dove release should be unique, and the only way of achieving this, is to get to know a little about you and your loved one, and put it into words for you.
Having been chosen to conduct 100's of services, we have many ideas which can be discussed to meet your requirements.

What Happens on the day?

  • We arrive at the Cemetery, Crematorium, Church, Home or Place of Worship before the cortege arrives

  • Our cages and/or baskets are decorated with fresh roses/lilies or other preferred flowers

  • Once the committal has taken place, we hand you the dove(s) and ensure you and they are comfortable

  • We read a poem, which has been written especially for you

  • The Dove(s) is released, to return home

Our suggested and most popular services, however it is all about what you want, and we are happy to oblige in any way we can to create a unique and memorable service for you.
